How easily Kos forgets the GOP's removal of Trent Lott as Senate Majority Leader once said leader began praising Strom Thurmond too enthusiastically. Kos also...ahem...forgets...the considerable push exerted by the rightermost side of the blogosphere in the Trent Lott case.
Democrats not only cannot be bothered to police up racist relics of America's past, they outright lionize them. I'm thinking, of course, of Robert Byrd, former Klansman, who Democrats like to imagine as "the conscience of the Senate".
